Call from Basic Training and Bangus Again
Our internet connection has taken a turn for the worse again so that means it is tough to get things set to update this page. It also means that the phone is not reliable. Today it rang one time and shut off. Shortly after that I had a voice mail show up from a pay phone in San Antonio but it was empty. I knew it had to be Johnnie trying to call from basic training. Thankfully he was able to get through to Kayla so she got to talk to him a bit. Wish we could have. We need to get more mail out to him.
Back to the Bangus I started in the last blog update. The stuffing has the fish meat, chopped onions, tomatoes, finely chopped carrots and potatoes. I was amazed when she chopped the potatoes up. Our housekeeper should work for OreIda, she chops those potatoes into hash brown size in no time! Oh yes, the stuffing has raisins in it too. And once those items are cooked, an egg is added to it before it is stuffed into the fish. As you can see, this is certainly not a quick meal to make. More about Bangus in the next blog
